CCNA: Single-Area OSPFv2

Replace static routing with OSPF so the network adapts by itself. All interfaces are addressed; run OSPF area 0 everywhere.

Tasks

  1. On R1 start router ospf 1 with router-id 1.1.1.1 and advertise both its networks in area 0.
  2. On R2 (router-id 2.2.2.2) advertise both point-to-point links in area 0.
  3. On R3 (router-id 3.3.3.3) advertise its networks in area 0.
  4. Make the LAN interfaces on R1 and R3 (Gi0/1) passive, so no hellos go to the PCs.
  5. Check show ip ospf neighbor shows FULL on R2 for both neighbours, then ping PC3 from PC1.
