CCNA: Subnetting in Practice

You were given 172.16.40.0/24 for three sites. Split it into /26 subnets and address each link with the right hosts — the checker only accepts correct maths.

Tasks

  1. Subnet 1 (172.16.40.0/26): give R1 Gi0/0 the first usable host and bring it up.
  2. Subnet 2: give R1 Gi0/1 the first usable host of the second /26 and bring it up.
  3. Subnet 3: give R1 Gi0/2 the first usable host of the third /26 and bring it up.
  4. Give PC3 the last usable host of subnet 3 (gateway = R1 Gi0/2) and ping the gateway.
