RH124 Ch 5: Edit Configuration Files

The WebAsha portal's config file in `~/config/app.conf` is out of date, and the team wants a login banner draft. Use vim (or sed) to make the edits, and set up student's shell environment.

Tasks

  1. In ~/config/app.conf, replace every 2025 with 2026.
  2. Remove all comment lines (lines starting with ) from ~/config/app.conf, keeping the settings.
  3. Change the setting debug=true to debug=false in the same file.
  4. Create ~/motd.txt containing exactly two lines: Welcome to WebAsha Technologies and Authorised users only.
  5. Make vim student's default editor by setting the EDITOR variable in ~/.bashrc, so it applies to every new shell.
