RH134 Ch 6: Logical Volumes

The reporting database needs space that can grow. Build an LVM volume on a spare disk, mount it persistently, then grow it online when the team asks for more.

Tasks

1. Create the volume group vgdata on /dev/vdc.
2. Create a 1 GiB logical volume lvreports in vgdata and format it with XFS.
3. Mount it on /reports at boot by UUID, and mount it now.
4. Grow lvreports and its file system to 1.5 GiB without unmounting it.
